Welcome to the imaginative and whimsical world of SchipHill Art Studio! My studio is located in rural Loudoun County, Virginia. Soft light streams through my windows where brightly painted images come to life and surround me with comfort.
Upon first glance, you will immediately notice a strong presence of women in my art. From an early age I was encouraged and inspired by my mother and grandmother to pursue my love of art. I lost both early on, but each live on through the pieces I create. A strong sense of femininity can be seen across my works where women are shown as guardians and protectors. I often incorporate animals into my work to accentuate the role of women as protective nurturers.
Each canvas I paint grows through my imagination, discovery, and the final product is often a surprise. Strong beautiful colors and intricate patterns add an underlying structure to my art that adds an ornamental quality. The centerpiece points to the strength and beauty of women.
Every past creative experience, be it as sculptor, painter or clothier, can be seen in my work. My work radiates positive energy and showcases the enjoyment I feel creating each unique collection.
